RACINE (WITI) — FOX6 News has learned 61-year-old Robert Lambkin — accused of sexually assaulting a young girl has reached a plea deal in the case against him.

Lambkin on Tuesday, April 1st pleaded no contest to one count of first degree sexual assault of a child – sexual contact with a person under 13.

A second count against him (child enticement – sexual contact) was dismissed.

A separate case against him for felony bail jumping was also dismissed.

Lambkin’s case drew some outrage, after Lambkin was released on bail to his home in Racine — which happened to be located right next door to that of his alleged victim.

A criminal complaint says the victim was in an alley between the two homes when Lambkin approached her and started talking. It says he then unzipped the girl’s jacket and placed his hands on her chest.

Lambkin allegedly told police that he put his hands inside the girl’s blouse, but he didn’t think the girl noticed.

Lambkin is set to be sentenced on June 20th.
