Police identify 29-year-old woman shot & killed near 24th & Center

MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Milwaukee police say they have identified the victim in a double shooting incident that occurred near 24th and Center on Monday afternoon, April 7th.

The victim has been identified as 29-year-old Fredricka Hodges.

The double shooting happened just before 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 7th.

Police say a suspect shot toward a group of people standing on a street corner.

Police say Hodges was driving a vehicle stopped at the intersection and was shot. She died at the scene.

An 18-year-old Milwaukee man sustained non life-threatening injuries due to a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital.

No one is in custody.
