Six-year-old West Bend girl struck by car and injured

WEST BEND (WITI) — West Bend police say a six-year-old girl was struck by a car on Wednesday, April 9th while riding her bike.

Police say a 28-year-old West Bend woman was driving eastbound in the 1700 block of Primrose Lane when the six-year-old girl proceeded into the roadway in front of the vehicle and was struck.

The girl was treated for minor injuries at the scene — and taken to the hospital by ambulance.

The driver was released from the scene and was not cited for any moving violations.

The incident remains under investigation.
