$2,000 reward offered for information in dog burning case

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Animal Fairy Charities announced Thursday, April 10th that they are offering a reward of $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the burning of a Milwaukee dog named “Beatrice.”

On Monday, April 7th, FOX6 News introduced you to Beatrice — a dog that had been stolen and burned over 90 percent of her body.

Beatrice was stolen from her owners’ back yard eleven days prior to March 24th when she was found wondering outside of Potawatomi Casino with burns that covered over 90 percent of her body.

She was taken to the Milwaukee Emergency Center for Animals where Dr. Marla Lichtenberger, DVM, DACCVEC treated Beatrice for her wounds.

On Wednesday, Milwaukee police confirmed with FOX6 News a 21-year-old man has been arrested for stealing Beatrice.
