HIGH POINT, N.C. — Investigators believe a driver was posting to Facebook seconds before she crashed and died.

The wreck happened Thursday morning on Business 85 in High Point, North Carolina. Investigators say 32-year-old Courtney Ann Sanford crossed the median and crashed head-on into a truck.

Later on Thursday, investigators say some of Sanford’s friends and family told them about a Facebook post that Sanford made around the same time as the crash. Investigators discovered the Facebook post was made seconds before the deadly crash.

While I feel sorry for her family and friends that loved her, I have no sympathy for her at all. If you are dumb enough to text (or post) while driving, I guess you have to deal with the consequences, unfortunately for her, her all important post that apparently couldn’t wait, cost her her life. I just thank God that she didn’t take anyone else with her!!! That is what infuriates me most about texting and driving…if you want to risk killing yourself, so be it, but don’t put me or anyone else at risk!!!!

y would a person get on the phone and text check email or get on facebook for. ok she did it and and died seconds later but a lot of people does it. i feel bad for her family and friends but she only typed 7 words; that could have waited till she got to where she was going.

I’m so glad this was on the news, hopefully people will think twice now before texting while driving.

why isnt there a law requiring automakers to install a device that blocks phone transmissions while the engine is running….If you need to use the phone, pull over, turn off the engine and do what you have to do

Why does there have to be a law trying to make cars stupid proof. How about this….STOP TEXTING AND DRIVING. If everyone was serious with their friends and family about using your phones when driving it would stop. Or do you really think that anyone in that girls circle will ever condone using the call phone while driving again.

Yes. At least she only killed herself. Texting while driving is bad enough but checking your FB and posting to it while driving…really idiotic. We can safely say she will never do that again. I have seen women driving on Hwy 41 @ 70MPH while reading a paperback book….more than once…and yes swerving in their lane. When I pulled up next to them and gave them “the look” they were offended……CRAZY!! Should have run her into the ditch….

Must have been 50 shades of Grey. They won’t let me in Barnes and Noble anymore. I took the “Caution Wet Floor” sign and put it by the 50 shades of Grey display.
