Admirals dumped by the Marlies, 5-2

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The Admirals fell to the Toronto Marlies 5-2 in game two of the best of five series Saturday at the BMO Harris Bradley Center. The Marlies now own a 2-0 series lead, with game three set for Thursday, May 1 in Toronto.

Marlies struck first with just 1:09 left in the opening period when Brandon Kozun recorded a goal to make the score 1-0. Jerry D'Amigo received the puck at the red line and passed to Trevor Smith at the middle of the Admiral's end, Smith fed the puck to Kozun at the top of the left circle. Kozun sent a wrister to the net that hit a skate and then shot passed Marek Mazanec.

The Marlies increased the lead at 8:07 in the second when Sam Carrick buried a five on three power play goal. Josh Leivo met with the puck at the far circle and dished to Smith at the near post. Smith tapped it back to the far post and Carrick shot past Mazanic's left shoulder.

Just 53 seconds into the third period Calle Jarnkrok got the Ads within one on a one-timer from the slot. Filip Forsberg fed the puck from the right hash marks to Jarnkrok at the top of the right circle and Jarnkrok blasted it past Drew MacIntrye making the score 2-1.
