MILWAUKEE (WITI) — They say “April showers bring May flowers” — and we’ll definitely be seeing a lot of those showers this week!

We have a gloomy six-day forecast on hand for this week — with rain showers and below-average temperatures in the forecast for the next several days.

FOX6 Chief Meteorologist Vince Condella says we will see moderate rainfall through Wednesday. Condella says some parts of southeastern Wisconsin could see over two inches of rain through Wednesday.

Condella says with river levels already high, the additional rainfall could make for isolated flooding concerns.

Condella calls it a cloudy, wet rut of weather, with a persistent breeze off Lake Michigan keeping things cool.

We’ll see temperatures in the mid-to-upper 40s and 50s this week — and what Condella describes as “waves” of rain showers.

We should see some breaks in the showers — but the showers are in the forecast through next Sunday.

Condella says we could get a few thunderstorms in the mix — but nothing severe is expected.
