The Admirals look to stave off elimination on Thursday

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The Admirals look to stave off elimination on Thursday, May 1 when they travel to the Ricoh Coliseum to take on the Toronto Marlies in game three of their best-of-five Western Conference Quarterfinal match-up. Puck drops at 6 pm CT.

Toronto took the first two games of the series at the BMO Harris Bradley Center, outscoring the Admirals 11-4. However, out of those 11 goals, three were empty netters and four came on the power-play, so during five-on-five action the Marlies have only outscored the Ads 4-3.

Milwaukee will need to improve on their special teams if they want to extend the season as their power-play has converted just one time in 12 opportunities (8.3%), while the penalty kill has allowed four goals in 16 chances (75%).

Defenseman Bryan Rodney leads the Admirals in scoring during the playoffs with a goal and two assists, while Patrick Cehlin, Filip Forsberg, and Calle Jarnkrok have all chipped in with a goal and an assist.

If the Admirals win on Thursday night they would force a game four, which would be played on Saturday afternoon in Toronto at 2 pm CT.

The Admirals will host a free viewing party for their fans at Major Goolsby’s, located on the corner of 4th St. and Kilbourn Ave in downtown Milwaukee. There will be food and drink specials as well as a raffle
