OUTGAMIE CO. (WITI) — A young Wisconsin artist is in the running to win the 2014 edition of the Doodle 4 Google contest in her age group (K-3). Her name is Vinessa Verheyen — and she attends Greenville Elementary School in Outgamie County.

Vinessa writes about her doodle (shown above): “If I could invent one thing to make the world a better place… It would be a cloud plow. It can get rid of clouds to make it sunny out so people can use solar energy. It also can push the clouds to areas that need rain.”

The winner’s doodle will appear on the Google.com homepage and he or she will receive a $30,000 scholarship and a $50,000 Google for Education technology grant for his or her school.
