UPDATE: Doctor faces new charge in attack, police chase

WAUKESHA (WITI) -- A Waukesha doctor accused of attacking her estranged husband and leading police on a chase before she was shocked with a stun gun and arrested faces a new charge.

49-year-old Jan Doenier faces charges that include domestic abuse and eluding an officer.

In court on Thursday, May 1st, Doenier was charged with one more count -- resisting an officer. That charge stems from a March 29th incident in which Doenier allegedly shoplifted at a grocery store in Delafield. The complaint for this charge says the assistant manager decided not to file a complaint but told Doenier not to come back to the store. She apparently returned 15 minutes later -- and resisted officers trying to arrest her.

The complaint says she drove by a squad car with her lights off and officers gave chase. Authorities say she drove 60 mph toward a police blockage and forced officers to run to safety. The complaint says at one point, a deputy yelled “Watch out, she’s coming right at us!”

Doenier was eventually arrested at the Country Springs Hotel where officers say she refused their commands, so they used a stun gun to take her into custody.

Doenier reportedly told police she didn’t hear or see any of their attempts to stop her vehicle.
