Police: Altercation in the street leads to shots fired

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police are investigating a shooting that occurred on Wednesday, May 7th in the 1300 block of N. 33rd Street.

It happened around 6:00 p.m.

Police say it was during an altercation in the street that the 27-year-old male victim was shot and injured.

The man was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries. He is expected to survive.

A short time later, police say the shooter turned himself in.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
