JANESVILLE (WITI) — The Janesville Police Department has confirmed that the body recovered from the Rock River on Friday, May 9th has been identified as 75-year-old Mary Coulthard.

Officials say an autopsy confirmed the identification of Coulthard and the cause of death has been ruled as drowning.

Friday afternoon, May 9th the Janesville Police Department received a call from a citizen saying that a body was in the water of the Rock River near 815 S. Washington Street.

Coulthard has been missing since Saturday night, May 3rd and suffered from health issues. Officials say the investigation is still ongoing.
