MILWAUKEE (WITI) — There is new live streaming video from the International Space station, and we have high school students to thank.

The High Definition Earth Viewing (HDEV) experiment points HD video cameras at Earth as the ISS orbits our planet every 90 minutes. High school students will be helping NASA operate this program, as part of the “High Schools United with NASA to Create Hardware” program.

NOTE: The live stream will be black whenever the ISS is on the night side of Earth.
