Kenosha couple dead in Panama City; was it a murder-suicide?

KENOSHA (WITI) -- Panama City Beach Police are now indicating they're considering the deaths of a Kenosha couple in Panama City this weekend to be a murder-suicide.

Panama City Beach Police, in a news release issued on Monday, May 12th, say based on the preliminary findings of an autopsy and independent investigation, investigators believe for reasons unknown, Robert Marcinkus shot and killed his wife, and then took his own life.

It happened on Wednesday, May 7th, according to Panama City Beach Police.

Panama City Beach Police say the bodies of Robert and Susan Marcinkus were discovered at the Tidewater Condominiums on Friday, May 9th.

Panama City Beach Police say the crime scene was self-contained, and a handgun was recovered at the scene.

Police say there is no evidence at this time to suggest what Robert Marcinkus' motives were.

Panama City Beach Police say pending any further developments, the police agency is considering this case to be closed.
