Large amounts of smoke found in government office building

MADISON (AP) — Fire crews in Madison are investigating after large amounts of smoke were found in a government office building.

The smoke was in the building that houses the headquarters of the Department of Workforce Development and the Department of Children and Families.

Crews were called to the scene at about 2 a.m. Friday. Firefighters searched the building for two hours, and discovered melting ceiling tiles on the building's fourth floor.

The cause is still being investigated.
