BUSTED: Three charged with two armed robberies in one night

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Three Milwaukee men are charged in connection with two armed robberies on the same night. A fourth juvenile suspect, a 16-year-old boy, is also facing charges.

According to the criminal complaint, the three 17 year olds from Milwaukee, Kareem Body-Etti, Deviondre Jackson, and Jaric Turner, committed their first armed robbery near 3rd and National Ave. just after midnight on Sunday, May 11th.

The group allegedly demanded valuables from the victims, a 31-year-old Milwaukee man and a 32-year-old Milwaukee man, at gunpoint.

The victims complied and the suspects fled.

Approximately 40 minutes later and in the same area, the suspects are accused of committing another armed robbery and stole purses and cell phones from two female victims, a 28-year-old woman and a 32-year-old Milwaukee woman.

Milwaukee officers learned the same silver car was used in both crimes.

Officers from District Two later spotted the vehicle at a gas station near 1st and Mineral.

They found all four suspects and took them into custody.

During the course of the investigation, detectives learned that Body-Etti was the gunman in an April 9th armed robbery near Pierce and Layton Blvd.

He now faces charges for that crime as well.

FOX6 News was able to speak with the mother of one of the suspects in this case -- the mother of 17-year-old Deviondre Jackson.

"Hopefully this won't ever happen again. It hurts. I really can't do this. This is kinda hard for me. I've been trying to stay strong for my baby because he's still my baby. He might have done some wrong. His dad has been in and out of jail. I wouldn't have no idea where they would get the gun from," Jackson's mother said.

Jackson's mother told FOX6 News she's been trying her best to keep her son and six other children from following in his father's footsteps.

"I wish I could have stood on him more -- been a more firm parent -- finding out where he was going and what he was doing because now it's a little too late. This might teach him a lesson. He might need, at this time, to sit and think about what he's doing. I just want to apologize for what happened. I can't make up for what he did," Jackson's mother said.
