Red Cross helping two adults, seven children following house fire

MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Crews responded to the scene of a house fire Monday night, May 19th near 48th and Villard.

According to officials, the fire broke out in the attic of the home around just before 10 p.m.

The residents were not home at the time of the fire — and no injuries were sustained.

The Red Cross is currently assisting the family.

The fire caused an estimated $45,000 in damage to the home and $15,000 in damage to the contents.

At this time, the cause of the fire is unknown and remains under investigation.
