More violence: Three show up at hospitals Thursday with gunshot wounds

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police say three individuals showed up at hospitals with gunshot wounds on Thursday, May 22nd -- after two separate shooting incidents.

In the first incident, Milwaukee police say a 24-year-old Milwaukee man was shot and injured.

Police say the man -- suffering from a non-fatal gunshot wound, presented himself at the hospital around 12:30 p.m.

Police say the circumstances that led to the shooting remain unclear -- but the victim tells police it happened in the 2600 block of W. Juneau.

The victim has an arrest record with MPD for robbery, recklessly endangering safety, bail jumping, resisting an officer -- and he was convicted of homicide in 2011.



The second incident involved a 22-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman showing up at the hospital with non life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Police say the shooting occurred in the 2000 block of S. 16th Street around 7:30 p.m.

Police say it appears this shooting is accidental -- and occurred when the male victim was attempting to unload a handgun.
