"Saving Preemies": Children’s Hospital featured in TIME magazine cover story

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin is featured in the cover story “Saving Preemies” in the June 2 issue of Time Magazine.

According to Children's Hospital, the story takes an in-depth look at world-class neonatal care through the eyes of Children’s Hospital’s tiniest patients.

“Being part of a family’s first moments with their child is a privilege. We are the only children’s hospital in Wisconsin with the depth and breadth of neonatology services to care for the sickest newborns,” said Peggy Troy, president and CEO of Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.

A press release says the story was written by Jeffrey Kluger, science and health editor, who spent 4 days visiting with caregivers and families at Children’s Hospital.

Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin says it has the first and largest Level IV NICU in Wisconsin.

The eight-page story, which will hit the stands in June, will also feature images of patients illustrating the fragility of their situation and the strength they are often able to exude.
