Crash involving injuries: Dump truck and car collide in Mount Pleasant

MOUNT PLEASANT (WITI) — Mount Pleasant police on Thursday, May 22nd were on the scene of a crash involving a dump truck and a vehicle.

It happened just after 11:00 a.m. — near the intersection of State Highway 31/N. Green Bay Road and County Highway C/Spring Street.

Police say the vehicle was operated by a 78-year-old Racine woman.

She sustained visible injuries — and was taken to the hospital.

She was later taken to Froedtert Hospital.

Her condition is unknown.

The dump truck was operated by a 52-year-old Kenosha man.

He was not injured.

Police say prior to the collision, the dump truck was headed westbound on Spring Street, and the car was headed eastbound on Spring Street in the left turn lane — turning northbound onto N. Green Bay Road.

At this time, no citations have been issued.

The crash remains under investigation.
