Coming in September: Chick-fil-A to open stores in Brookfield, Greendale

BROOKFIELD/GREENDALE (WITI) -- Chick-fil-A®, the nation’s largest quick-service chicken restaurant chain in the country and one of the nation’s largest privately held restaurant enterprises, has unveiled the sites for two new Milwaukee area locations.

The stores will be located at 5351 South 76th St. on the border of Greendale and Greenfield, and 12625 W. Capitol Dr. on the border of Brookfield and Wauwatosa.

The Greendale location is a 4,668 square-foot building with two dual-order point drive-thru lanes.

This location will feature 47 customer parking spaces and 16 outdoor seats with standard handrails.

The Brookfield location is a 4,876 square-foot building with 77 customer parking spaces.

This location will have two dual-order point drive-thru lanes, as well as 32 outdoor seats with standard handrails and several brick planters.

Each store is expected to hire 80 employees.

Chick-fil-A restaurants have a unique franchise model where the franchise operator, hand-picked from thousands of applicants and vetted for up to two years, is at the heart of the restaurant.

“It is so exciting to formally announce two new stores entering the Wisconsin market,” said Jamie Fuller, a current Chick-fil-A operator in Racine. “Given my experience as a Chick-fil-A operator, I believe customers in the greater Milwaukee area are going to love the handcrafted, premium food selections and superior customer service that Chick-fil-A is known for.”

Because the local franchise operators are expected to become active members of their local communities, Chick-fil-A restaurants have a significant presence in the communities they serve.

“Greendale is pleased to welcome Chick-fil-A to our community,” said John Hermes, president of the Village of Greendale. “They not only bring more new jobs to our thriving South 76th Street business cooridor, but they also bring with them their special commitment of community involvement. We look forward to working with them.”

“Chick-fil-A’s history of impressive sales numbers combined with their commitment to the community will make them a great member of the Brookfield community,” said Steve Ponto, mayor of Brookfield. “We look forward to having them as a member of our economic community.”

The stores are tentatively scheduled to open in September 2014.
