Rescued: Two pulled from apartment building after fire

MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Fire crews were called to the scene of an apartment fire near 78th and Calumet early Wednesday morning, June 3rd.

Flames broke out in the apartment building around 12:30 a.m.

According to officials, two elderly people were trapped on the second floor — and had to be rescued by fire crews.

No one was injured as a result of the fire.

No additional details have been released — including the cause of the fire or the amount of damage sustained.
