Drivers cited and arrested during Racine's "Click It or Ticket" campaign

RACINE (WITI) -- The Racine County Sheriff's Office has announced the results of its "Click It or Ticket" campaign that ran from May 20th through June 2nd.

During the deployments, the following citations or arrests were made, according to the Sheriff's Office:


    Racine County Sheriff's officials say there was also a person arrested for Possession Crack Cocaine W/Intent To Deliver and several other arrests made for Ordinance Possession of Marijuana.

    These deployments are completed through a partnership with the Bureau of Transportation Safety, which has provided the Sheriff’s Office with a grant to put extra personnel on the streets in an attempt to get motorists and their passengers to buckle up.

    “It is through deployments such as these the Sheriff’s Office hopes to eliminate the preventable deaths in Wisconsin," Racine County Sheriff Christopher Schmaling said.
