Explosive situation: Bomb Squad called in to detonate live hand grenade Monday

MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Milwaukee police say a hand grenade was discovered Monday afternoon June 9th in a field near N. Beale Street (near 99th and Fond du Lac).

The Milwaukee Police Department’s Bomb Squad was called to the scene — and the Bomb Squad was able to detonate the grenade.

The grenade was determined to be a live grenade.

No injuries were reported.

Milwaukee police say their investigation into this incident is ongoing.
