Drivers take note: Construction to begin on State Hwy. 33 in Washington Co.

WASHINGTON CO. (WITI) -- The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) will begin a resurfacing project of WIS 33 (Washington St.) from Trenton Rd. to just east of Oak Rd. in the city of West Bend, Washington County. The work is scheduled to begin Monday, June 16th and to be completed the end of July, weather permitting.

The work on this project will include a mill and overlay of the asphalt pavement and a replacement of cross culverts. At the Oak Road intersection, WisDOT will also construct a bypass lane on the eastbound lane and a right turn lane on the westbound lane of WIS 33.

The project will be divided in to three stages.


    WIS 33 will remain open to traffic at all times; however; occasionally the road will be restricted to one lane of traffic with moving flagging operation. Access to side roads and driveways will be maintained at all times. Please use caution in driving through the work zone.
