PEWAUKEE (WITI) -- A big meth bust in Waukesha Co. Six people are arrested after drugs, moving through the mail, never get delivered. Instead, they're intercepted by police.

According to the criminal complaint, a postal inspector was tipped off that drugs were being shipped across the country through the mail. That's when the officer got a search warrant, intercepted the package, and searched it.

"It appears as though the packages were coming from California, and they were using some of the meth as well as distributing it," said Sargent Jeffrey Lenius, Pewaukee Police Department.

Officials say the contents tested positive for meth, so they got a warrant to search the house it was shipped to. Inside, police found drug paraphernalia and more packages.

Neighbor Renee Gordon, watched the massive drug bust near her normally quiet lake home.

"We heard three loud percussion grenades," said Gordon. "Thank god the police intervened."

Once inside police made another discovery, a 2-year-old child.

"It's heartbreaking to see a 2-year-old child in this kind of environment. Dirty, completely disorganized, and with this type of drug activity going on," said Lenius.

All of the people arrested from the home are facing criminal charges, and one is also facing child neglect charges.

The 2-year-old is currently with Children Protective Services.

The house that neighbors say they've been complaining to police about for the past year, is once quite again. As the drug bust took place, neighbors gave the police a standing ovation.

oh jeez. Comment on the story. No one cares that you were the first one to find a spelling error

I like how the police get the credit when the postal inspector did all the work and neighbors say they’ve been complaining for over a year (makes sense with 6+ people cooking crystal meth next door) to the police who did nothing until someone literally handed crystal meth over to them.

You need to understand that the police need to do an investigation before taking action in a case such as this.

how in the hell can you come to the conclusion that 2 of them were getting it sent to them and 4 of them are innocent by the information posted in the article? Or that they are addicts or that they were smoking the contents of there mail? I would like to offer the following for consideration: They had know idea who was sending them packages containing something that they had no idea what it was so after mistakenly opening the first package and pondering what the contents were. Another package was delivered. putting it aside for fear that someone is attempting to discredit them, and being unable to report it to any official office, for fear of being misunderstood in their actions of taking the alleged “massive drug bust” packages, is the only logical reason why the article writer was able to state that more packages were found. Sounds like some person of an official capacity had a vendetta for these folks.

Was it being sent by snail class, or email? If by snail mail, then their Attorney should check the statute of limitations to see if prosecutable.

I love how the news can’t even do their jobs right by using correct information instead of making things seems so much more worse then it is!!! Like the fact that the 2yr old was NOT found in the house but was in the car with his mother & step father when they were pulled over while out looking for an apartment!!! No of course they’re not gonna tell that part cus those facts aren’t juicy enough for the media!!!

Next time I read a blog, I hope that it won’t disappoint me just as much as this one.

After all, I know it was my choice to read, nonetheless I truly believed you’d
have something interesting to say. All I hear is a bunch of whining about something you can fix if you were not too
    busy searching for attention.
