Weekend air show featuring exciting performers: "We have a world class air show"

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Whether you're looking at the lake or searching the skies, along Milwaukee's lakefront, this weekend, you'll almost certainly get a peek at the air and water show.

Friday, people gather on a bluff, near Lake Michigan, getting a peek at a peculiar practice.

One onlooker says he is getting a look at what the weekend show is going to be like.

Meanwhile, below the bluff, tents line the lakefront near Bradford Beach, as the Milwaukee Air and Water Show settles in for another annual performance.

"We have a world class air show, right here, on the shores of Lake Michigan," said Rogers, airshow president.

Rogers says for the first time in four years, the Blue Angels will be sliding through the blue skies.

"It's been four years since the Blue Angels have performed here. Milwaukee's very fortunate to be selected for the Blue Angels," said Rogers.

The free event is expected to attract quite a crowd this weekend, according to Visit Milwaukee President, Paul Upchurch.

"We estimate tens of thousands of people, and, if you come down here, you'll see the entire lakefront, packed--people all up and down the beach. It's just a great event," said Upchurch.

The showtime starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 21st, and Sunday, June 22nd along the lakefront.
