REWARD OFFERED: Can you help police & the FBI solve the Joseph Walker homicide?

RACINE (WITI) -- The FBI and the Racine Police Department are seeking the public's help in identifying two robbery suspects responsible for the attempted armed robbery of the American Legion tavern on Douglas Avenue in Racine. During that attempted armed robbery, 47-year-old Joseph Walker, a father of five, was shot and killed. Now, the FBI has announced it is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible.

The attempted armed robbery and fatal shooting occurred early May 31st -- around 1:30 a.m.

Racine police say two unidentified suspects entered the American Legion tavern and rental hall, and one of the suspects had a handgun as they attempted to rob the business.

During the incident, one shot was fired and struck Walker in the head -- causing his death.

The suspect with the gun was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled up. He was also wearing grey sweat pants, white shoes and a white colored material covering his nose and mouth.

The second suspect was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, a black T-shirt over the sweatshirt, black pants and white shoes. He also partially covered his face with something over his nose and mouth.
