PLEASANT PRAIRIE (WITI) -- A 47-year-old Kenosha man is recovering Thursday morning, June 26th after he crashed his vehicle into a train.

According to police, the incident occurred just before midnight near Highway H, just south of 95th Street.

Officials say the train was stopped across Highway H, where it was being unloaded, when the man drove under a black tanker car.

Police say the intersection isn't controlled by a gate or light.

It took rescue crews about an hour to free the man from the wreckage.

He was transported to St. Catherine's Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

No drugs or alcohol are believe  to have played a factor in the crash.
