Police clear home near Russell and Pine -- domestic violence suspect hasn't been found

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police were on the scene near Russell and Pine in Milwaukee on Wednesday, July 2nd -- for a domestic violence suspect.

Police say the incident started shortly before 3:00 p.m. -- when the suspect struck the victim -- his ex-girlfriend, with a gun during an argument outside of the residence.

Police say the suspect fled into the residence -- where police believed him to be hiding.

The woman was taken to the hospital fore treatment of non life-threatening injuries.

Police say the residence was cleared at 7:30 p.m. -- but the suspect was not found.

Attempts are being made to locate the suspect.
