FOUND: Mother says 13-year-old Kaliyah Lockhart is home



MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- A 13-year-old girl who had been missing for three days (since Tuesday, July 1st) is now home. FOX6 News spoke with the girl's mother, who confirms her daughter is home and is okay.

We're told the girl was found around 6:00 p.m. Thursday -- near 60th and Congress.

A group of volunteers looking for 13-year-old Kaliyah Lockhart fanned neighborhoods on Thursday, July 3rd -- handing out flyers.

Lockhart went missing around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 1st.

Her mother says she remembers hearing Kaliyah's door open. She says she called for her daughter -- and got no response.

"I asked my neighbor because he was outside. I said 'have you seen my baby?' He said 'yeah, she just ran out the house barefoot down the street,'" Kaliyah Lockhart's mother, LaShonda Wilbourn said.

Milwaukee police tell FOX6 News Kaliyah Lockhart left home after an encounter with family over seeing boys.

Police say she was staying with a friend for a few days.
