Police officers save a life: Four from MPD perform CPR on man ahead of U.S. Bank Fireworks Show

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police working crowd management for the July 3rd U.S. Bank Fireworks Show were able to use CPR to save a man's life.

Police came upon a 25-year-old Glendale man who had stopped breathing.

The officers found the man shortly before 8:30 p.m. when they noticed his car stopped in traffic on North Avenue at Holton Street.

The driver was unresponsive, so the officers removed him from the car and laid him on the street.

The officers evaluated his condition and found that the man was not breathing and had no pulse.

A sergeant, a detective and two officers performed CPR and resuscitated the man, likely saving his life.

The Milwaukee Fire Department conveyed the man to the hospital for treatment.
