Stealing...from a baby! North Carolina woman caught on camera taking things from infant's grave

NORTH CAROLINA (WITI) -- A North Carolina woman is accused of stealing from an infant's grave -- and she was caught on surveillance video.

FOX8 WGHP in High Point, North Carolina says Rebecca and Robert Trollinger buried their son, Rylee Mark Trollinger at Alamance Memorial Park. He was three months and 10 days old when he died.

"He was born with a cleft lip and palate. He went in for surgery on that and didn’t make it out,” said Rebecca Trollinger, Rylee’s mother.

Rebecca and Robert Trollinger make sure their son isn't forgotten by stopping by his grave for visits -- and decorating it.

In September, they say they noticed some of the decorations were missing.

After that, they say it just kept happening. In all, they say 31 items were taken from their baby boy's grave.

“We had absolutely enough. We decided we had to catch somebody, somehow,” said Robert Trollinger.

That's when the couple decided to install a hidden camera.

Sure enough, that camera caught a woman approaching Rylee's grave over the Fourth of July weekend -- and leaving with a handfull of his decorations.
