Another summer festival: "Latino Carnaval" planned for next week in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- As the summer festival season continues, a "carnaval" is planned for next week in Milwaukee!

It is the second annual Latino Carnaval.

The fun starts Wednesday, July 23rd at the "Wherehouse" building near Water Street and National Avenue.

There are events on Thursday and Friday, but the big party is on Saturday.

A huge parade is planned for the city's south side. It starts at 11:00 a.m. near 11th and National.

The parade heads east until it reaches Water Street.

"It's another facet of Milwaukee that creates a positive image for the city. And that's what we're all about. We live here. This is our home -- and I would like to see Milwaukee increase in it's image around the country," Paul Mueller, Wherehouse owner said.
