Police: Suspect in custody after high-speed chase begins in Waukesha County, ends in Greenfield

GREENFIELD (WITI) -- Muskego police tell FOX6 News a high-speed chase that began in Waukesha County on Tuesday night, July 22nd made its way to the area of 60th and Layton in Greenfield.

The pursuit began around 8:45 p.m. in Muskego -- and made its way into New Berlin and onto I-43 -- finishing up in Greenfield, according to Muskego police.

Muskego police said they were assisting with a perimeter that was set up near 60th Street and Layton Avenue in Greenfield.

Several streets near 60th and Layton were blocked off.

Just before 10:00 p.m., FOX6 News learned a K9 officer found a suspect near 51st and Armor. He is now in custody.

Streets in Greenfield are now reopening.
