ARRESTED: Walworth County Drug Unit arrests two Illinois men, accused of possessing cocaine

WALWORTH COUNTY (WITI) -- The Walworth County Drug Enforcement Unit has announced the arrest of two individuals -- accused of possessing cocaine.

The Walworth County Drug Enforcement Unit, working with the Lake Geneva Police Department, the McHenry County Sheriff's Office and the DEA concluded an investigation on Wednesday, July 23rd -- when they arrested two men from Harvard, Illinois.

The first man was stopped on Lakeville Road in the Town of Walworth. Officials say they located three ounces of cocaine in his vehicle. At his home, officials say they recovered five grams of cocaine.

That man was arrested and confined in the Walworth County Jail on three counts of delivery of cocaine and one count of possession of cocaine with intent to deliver.

At the same time, McHenry County officials were executing a search warrant at a home in Harvard, Illinois.

There, they recovered a scale, packaging material, 7.5 grams of cocaine and $2,400 in cash.

The second man arrested was arrested by McHenry County officials. He was taken to McHenry County Jail on four counts of delivery of cocaine. McHenry County plans on forwarding charges of possession of cocaine against this man to the District Attorney's Office. Walworth County plans on forwarding three counts of party to the delivery of cocaine against this man.
