Setting goals high, aiming for dreams: Kids learn through dance

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- It's a movement that's making some noise. There's one group that's getting kids involved in the arts.

It's part of an annual event put on by Express Yourself Milwaukee -- and it was held on Thursday, July 24th. Kids were dancing with Cammie Griffin, who dances with the international production "Stomp." She says anyone can be inspired to be successful.

"When I come here, I think it teaches the kids that anything that you dream or anything that you want to do, it can be achieved as long as you work hard for it. It's doesn't matter your background, it doesn't matter where you came from, it doesn't matter if you're poor or you're rich,  black or white -- it doesn't matter. As long as you follow your dreams, you'll make it to where you want to be," said Griffin.

The Boys and Girls Club Community Learning Center helped put on Thursday's event.
