No offense, Brewers fall 2-1

ST. PETERSBURG, FL -- Jake Odorizzi was once a gem in the Brewers minor league system.  Monday night, he showed why, allowing only one run in seven innings and pitching Tampa Bay past Milwaukee, 2-1.  Odorizzi was traded away from the Brewers organization as part of the Zack Greinke trade prior to the 2011 season.

The only run of the night for the visitors came in the third inning on a home run by Mark Reynolds.  It was his fourth in only fourteen at-bats, demonstrating his streakiness as a hitter.  The Brewers only registered two other hits in the game.

The defeat dropped Milwaukee's lead over idle St. Louis in the National League Central division to a game and a half.  The Brewers visit Busch Stadium this weekend.
