Police: Man’s body discovered in alley near Burdick & Austin; victim of apparent homicide

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police responded to an alley near E. Burdick Avenue and S. Austin Street at about 10:45 a.m. Friday, August 1th after a resident discovered a deceased male shooting victim.

"I see the police out here. I thought maybe it was graffiti or something. I see a body lying out there. Surprised the heck out of me," said Mark Jaeger, a person who lives in the neighborhood.

The victim of the apparent homicide has not yet been identified.

The investigation is ongoing and there are no suspects in custody.
