MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- A tractor-trailer overturned inside a tunnel near the Mitchell Interchange Tuesday morning, August 5th. It happened around 7 a.m.

The semi truck was traveling east on I-894 when the driver failed to navigate a stretch of road, leading to a roll over.

"Once it gets tipping, obviously 80,000 pounds of something shifting like that is a lot easier to tip than maybe your car," said Dylan Glindinning, Truck Country sales representative.

This is the second time in just a few months that a semi crashed in the same area. The other accident happened on April 7th.

Neither driver was hurt.

Tuesday's crash caused a backup for nearly three miles. Crews had the road cleared and back open within two hours.

Patti Green you need to learn the rules before you open your mouth. It is not illegal to drive a truck in a tunnel. It is illegal to drive a HAZMAT TRUCK in a tunnel. You sound like a TYPICAL four wheeler calling truck drivers STUPID. By the looks of your spelling I’m sure most are smarter than you!

“Keep trucks off the roads where cars drive”, uh yeah that is a real foolish comment. How in the #$@! do you think your groceries or the toilet paper you use to wipe your a$$ are getting to your grocery store. That has got to be THE DUMBEST comment I have ever heard.
