MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Milwaukee police are investigating a shooting that occurred on Tuesday evening, September 23rd.

It happened around 6:15 p.m. in the 2800 block of N. 16th Street.

Police say the victim was standing on the sidewalk when he was struck by a bullet fired from a nearby gangway.

The victim is a 21-year-old man from Milwaukee. He suffered a minor injury and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

It is unclear whether anyone is in custody.

The investigation is ongoing.
