Police: Man's body recovered from Kinnickinnic River

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office was called out to the Kinnickinnic River near 4th and Becher on Tuesday, September 23rd. Milwaukee police say a man's body was pulled from the river.

Crews were dispatched to the scene around noon on Tuesday.

The body was recovered from the river by Milwaukee Fire officials and MPD.

Police are working with the Medical Examiner's Office to determine the man's identity and his cause of death.

On Wednesday, September 24th, the Medical Examiner's Office said the man hasn't yet been positively identified. The Medical Examiner's Office says the man will need to be identified through DNA.

The Medical Examiner's Office says at this time, the man's death doesn't appear to be suspicious.
