Search for wanted man: Have you seen 43-year-old Donald Berry?

WAUKESHA COUNTY (WITI) -- Waukesha County Sheriff's officials say they are looking for a wanted man who was last seen in the southeastern part of Waukesha County.

Sheriff's officials say on Monday evening, September 22nd, they were investigating a report of a man walking on I-43 in the area of Big Bend. Sheriff's officials made contact with the man, and they say he gave a false name and then fled northbound from I-43.

He hasn't been located.

Sheriff's officials have identified the man as 43-year-old Donald Berry. He is 5'8" tall, weighs 190 pounds and has gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and gray sweat pants.

On Tuesday morning, around 8:30 a.m., Sheriff's officials say a citizen reported seeing Berry running north from Townline Road in the area of Guthrie Road in the Town of Waukesha.

Waukesha Sheriff's officials utilized several resources in an attempt to locate the man -- including numerous deputies, two K9 units, an aviation unit from the Wisconsin State Patrol -- and resources from the New Berlin Police Department and the Village of West Bend Police Department.

The search for Berry lasted over five hours, but Berry wasn't located. The search for Berry continues.

Berry is wanted for a parole violation out of Springfield, Illinois -- and a warrant out of Rockford, Illinois for assault. He has a warrant out of Waukesha for obstructing.

Sheriff's officials say Berry has a history of violent behavior that includes aggravated assault, aggravated battery, armed robbery and home invasion.

He has a relative that lives in the city of New Berlin, and another relative in the city of Waukesha.

If you see this man, you're asked to call 911 immediately. Sheriff's officials urge that folks don't approach Berry or make contact with him.
