Three arrested in Fond du Lac for drug trafficking, possession of crack

FOND DU LAC (WITI) -- Three Fond du Lac men were arrested Saturday night, September 26th on numerous drug-related charges, including Possession with Intent to Distribute crack cocaine, and Maintaining a Residence for Illegal Drug Trafficking.

Police served a drug search warrant at 11 p.m. Saturday night, and took a 20-year-old, 30-year-old and 39-year-old into custody.

“Tonight’s operation should serve to reinforce our strong message to those that choose to sell illegal drugs in our community, that their illegal activities will not be tolerated. We will locate you and we will arrest you," said Fond du Lac Police Chief Bill Lamb.

The residence was the scene of an incident earlier this month where someone fired several shots outside the home. No one was injured. Police took a 21-year-old Fond du Lac man into custody in connection with the shooting. He is still in jail on unrelated drug charges.

No charges have been filed in relation to the shooting incident.

"Our residents recognize that illegal drug dealing is not just a law enforcement issue, but takes the entire community to address illegal drug use. Our department continues to receive in the way of tips and intelligence information from the public that has greatly assisted us with investigating and arresting drug dealers," said Lamb.

Fond du Lac officials are urging residents who suspect illegal drug activity in their neighborhoods to call the Police Department at (920) 906-5555 or Crime Alert at (920) 906-4777 to remain anonymous.
