Racine man who says he's a member of the "Vice Lord" gang accused of punching his girlfriend

RACINE COUNTY (WITI) -- A 50-year-old Racine man with a lengthy criminal history, who says he's a member of the Vice Lord gang is in trouble again -- accused of beating his girlfriend and saying he's not afraid of the police.

Jack Green

Jack Green faces two misdemeanor charges: misdemeanor battery, domestic abuse assessments, and disorderly conduct, domestic abuse assessments.

Green has a record of convictions dating back to 1992.

A criminal complaint filed against Green says a woman came to the police department on Saturday, October 11th -- shaking and crying. That woman told police she was punched in the nose and on the right side of her face by her boyfriend - "Jackie Green." The complaint says the woman told police on Saturday afternoon, she and Green were inside their home in Racine, drinking with some friends. The complaint says the woman told police Green "just snapped."

The woman told police she and Green got into an argument about how he never takes her side -- and that's when she says Green got upset and struck her in the nose with a closed fist. The complaint says the woman told police she kicked Green once to get him off of her, and that's when she says Green struck her again on the right side of her face.

The complaint against Green says the woman told police in a previous incident Green was arrested, and she told police Green was threatening her to drop the charges -- and that's why she told the court she falsified her statement on that incident -- rebutting the statement in fear of her own safety.

The complaint says the woman told police she was with a man when she saw Green standing near 11th and Washington Avenue. The woman went to speak with Green about the incident in which he struck her in the face, and as they neared their home, the woman says Green began threatening to strike her again -- saying that he struck her because she was disrespecting him.

The complaint says the woman told police she told Green she had had enough and was going to go to the police, and that's when he said he is a Vice Lord and he will get someone to assault her -- saying he's not scared of the police.

That's when the woman went to the police department.

The complaint says police spoke with Green -- who said the woman and a female friend had gotten into an argument while they were drinking at their home -- and he was attempting to diffuse the argument. The complaint says Green told police that's when the woman began to argue with him about taking other people's sides. The complaint says Green told police he left the residence -- and said he never touched the woman.

The complaint says Green told police the woman wants him in jail because she is mad at him -- referring to that previous incident in which she had him arrested and then changed her statement. The complaint says Green told polic he could put the woman in jail, but he doesn't want to.

Police didn't see any physical injury on the woman.

Green will be in court on these charges on November 13th.
