Which kind of playground will they choose? The Bucks, or the kids

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The new Bucks owners announced this weekend they have added several heavy hitters to the list of sponsors.

However, they still don't have enough money to pay for the new arena required by the NBA.

The community group "Common Ground" met today to declare they will oppose all public funding towards making that arena happen.

There was a large turnout at Parklawn Assembly of God in Milwaukee on Sunday, October 19th. They argued if public money did go to the Bucks arena, it should also go towards improving playgrounds in Milwaukee County.

"It is right that if we are gonna raise tax dollars to have entertainment, that we also raise tax dollars to make sure that our children have a safe place to play," said President of Neighborhood Children Sports League, Earl Ingram.

The Milwaukee Bucks have until 2017 to build a new arena, otherwise the NBA can buy back the team. That means the Bucks could end up playing in a different state.

The owners have said they are still seeking more private investors.
