Milwaukee police arrest shooting suspect minutes after the alleged crime

MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Milwaukee police were able to arrest a shooting suspect minutes after the crime occurred.

Police were dispatched to the 2700 block of N. 20th Street (20th and Center) just after 4:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 11th for a report of a shooting.

The victim, a 52-year-old man was on his bicycle when he was shot by a suspect who walked past him.

The suspect fled the scene on foot.

Police got a description of the suspect from the victim, and that suspect was located in the 2500 block of N. 24th Street.

Police say the suspect, a 20-year-old Milwaukee man, had started a fire to try to destroy his clothing.

The 52-year-old shooting victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injury.

Charges against the suspect are expected to be filed soon.

    They didn’t shoot him? They didn’t beat him? They didn’t talk mean to him? He must have cooperated.
