Opening on the holiday "simply not worth it:" Blain's Farm and Fleet CLOSED on Thanksgiving Day

“We are a company with great history -- just shy of 60 years now. And it is my job to ensure the right balance of honoring our historical practices with certain contemporary trends. One of those current trends chosen by many of our competitors is to have their associates work on Thanksgiving. But as the owner of Blain’s Farm & Fleet, I know that kind of decision would impact the more than 4,000 families who support our company year round. It’s simply not worth it. So we will continue to honor our past…and our associates on this day by keeping our doors closed on Thanksgiving. Our hope is that our associates will enjoy the holiday with their families and friends.

We love what we do and we love who we get to do it with here. We take great pride in the opportunities our customers give us each day. So, we’re hopeful that customers will understand when we treat these special holidays a bit differently. We have much to be thankful for…great communities, great opportunities, great customers and great associates who continue to build our great company. And that is, after all, what Thanksgiving is about, giving thanks.
