"To be that young and to be committing crimes that brazen?" Stroller Gang has folks on edge

CHICAGO (WITI) -- "The Stroller Gang" has residents and police on alert in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood.

FOX6's sister station WGN says a surveillance camera caught members of the group stealing a tip jar from a pizza restaurant.

WGN reports the video shows the thieves entering the restaurant -- a young mom with a baby in a stroller, three young boys and two girls. The mother is seen ordering a slice of pizza, and when the cashier's back was turned, she is seen reaching into the tip jar, grabbing money.

"At the end of the day, it's kids. To be that young and to be committing crimes that brazen? It's senseless," the restaurant's owner told WGN.

WGN reports a surveillance camera caught the group leaving the restaurant. The video shows the group stealing a $700 custom-made bike.
