(CNN) -- Can YOUR cat do tricks? Two-year-old Matilda, or "Tilly" for short is a rescue cat who loves to show dog lovers that cats can show off too!

Her owners say that they realized soon after adopting the feline that she was special, and they now hope to convince dog lovers to have soft spot for cats.

First learning to play dead, then learning to shake and roll over, Sherry Vanderwier says Tilly's love for treats has motivated the young feline to perform tricks that most dogs can't do.

"I was just playing with her and she started doing the things and she likes treats, so every time I said 'okay let's try a new trick.' So, we try a new trick and she would do it," said Vanderwier.

Vanderwier said that family and friends have even requested proof of Tilly's talents -- perhaps not believing a cat can do tricks.

"Most people that are dog people and not cat people is because the cat has a mind of its own. It won't come when you call it, won't do tricks, won't do any of that stuff, but she is very different," said Vanderwier.

Vanderwier also said that Tilly has more tricks in the works, and is still perfecting her talent.
